Research Interests:

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a very complex disorder, and today it has become a global health problem, largely because we are living in a fast-paced modern life. Whenever we get time, we look at mobile phones or work on computers. Our physical activity has decreased, and we prefer to work while sitting or lying down. On the other hand, our mental stress is increasing every day, and we suffer from a lack of sleep. Instead of healthy food, we are eating fast food, junk food, and oily food. Because of these bad habits, our digestive system is getting damaged, and food is not digesting properly. Patients suffer from irregular and incomplete bowel movements—sometimes constipation, sometimes loose stools, and sometimes mucus with stool. This modern lifestyle disease, known as IBS, is marked by abdominal pain, altered bowel habits, bloating, and food intolerances, severely diminishing the quality of life. Conventional management primarily addresses symptomatic relief without altering the underlying disease trajectory. Homeopathy, utilizing targeted protocols and bowel nosodes, offers a safe and therapeutic alternative. Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted on 30 patients ($N=30$) diagnosed with IBS-M and IBS-D per Rome IV criteria at Ansar Homoeo Complex. Patients received a paired homeopathic protocol (Mercurius vivus 200C, Chelidonium majus 30C, Mercurius solubilis 6C, Ipecacuanha 30C, Dysentery Compound 30C, and Nux Vomica 30C) alongside 4-week Low-FODMAP dietary guidance over a 3-month evaluation period. Results: Over a 3-month period, all 30 patients showed significant clinical improvement. Stool frequency normalized (1–2 times daily), rectal tenesmus and mucus resolved, and food tolerances were successfully restored without adverse events. Conclusion: Targeted homeopathic protocols combined with dietary management offer an effective, non-invasive treatment option for IBS as a modern lifestyle disorder.
